► OCC Revises Comptroller’s Handbook
OCC has revised the Internal and External Audits booklet of its Comptroller’s Handbook, which provides
guidance to examiners assessing audit exposures, associated risk and risk management practice. The
booklet supersedes the previous version, and also replaces two sections of the Office of Thrift Supervision
Examination Handbook on external and internal audit. View the booklet.
► OCC Revises Handbook on Management Interlocks
OCC on January 12 issued a revised version of the Comptroller’s Licensing Manual handbook on
management interlocks. The revised handbook reflects changes made since the Office of Thrift Supervision
merged into the OCC and clarifies guidance for national banks and federal savings associations. Download

OCC on January 6 issued a revised version of the Comptroller’s Licensing Manual handbook on changes of
corporate title and address. The revised handbook reflects changes made since the Office of Thrift

► ABA Updates Enforcement Action Database
ABA's enforcement database has been updated to include six new UDAP and UDAAP violations issued by
the CFPB and the Fed against banks and non-banks. Most commonly, the violations were a result of
deceptive marketing practices. The banks and non-banks were collectively fined $2,535,000 in civil money
penalties and expected to pay $255,000 in restitution fines to consumers. Access the database.

The results of two ABA surveys are now ready for purchase, with special discounts available for ABA
members. The 2016 ABA Bank Marketing Survey explores significant topics such as the allocation of
marketing expenditures to advertising, public relations, sale promotions and market research. The report
provides insights into the marketing expenditures and budgets of 151 banks nationwide, with all data provided
